Programming: a single event or a series of related programs for a specific audience

 

Criteria for Programming Awards: 

originality

ability to be replicated

involvement with other community organizations

relationship to mission

effectiveness of publicity

results to cost ratio

    Service Innovation: a public service offered for the first time, in a new way, or to a new audience to further the library’s mission in the community

     

    Criteria for Service Innovation Award:

    innovativeness

    ability to be replicated

    involvement with other community organizations

    relationship to mission

    effectiveness of publicity

    results to cost ratio

  • Service Innovation Award Nomination

    Public Relations/Promotional Project: printed materials, a new website, ad campaign or use of media to raise awareness of the library or to promote the library or library services in a new way

     

    Criteria for Public Relations/Promotional Project Award:

    originality and attractiveness

    relationship to mission

    effectiveness in reaching target audience

    results to cost ratio

  • Library Promotion Award Nomination
  •  

     

    Staff Development Project: a one-time or ongoing training program, new training tools, or a program or activity to increase staff competency or enhance staff’s understanding of the community they serve or ways they can better serve their public

     

    Criteria for Staff Development Project Award:

    relationship to an identified need

    effectiveness in creating change among staff

    results to cost ratio
